Forms and Renewals

Membership and Key Fob Gate Access for lake frontage/deeded lake rights property owners run from July 1 to June 30 each year regardless of when application is made. This access right is granted only to the property owner per deed restrictions and is not transferable.

Gate Access fobs not renewed by July 7 each year are automatically deactivated. New applicants: once you have submitted and paid for a Fob application, your application will be reviewed for deed and boat weight requirements. A Board member will contact you. If you need help, please contact John Kelaher (864-313-3208) or email membership@lakelaniersc.org. Fobs will NOT be mailed and can only be delivered to the deeded property owner on the application. Applications and instructions are below.

Membership is not required to obtain a key fob but the annual cost is the same $100. If you need an additional fob, you may use the PayPal link drop-down menu below or mail a check for the $25 additional fee.

Additional Carp and Dredging Donation options through PayPal/Credit Card link are available at the Donate Button below: If you select the "other amount", please consider adding the 3.49% plus .49 to your donation as this is the transaction fee that will be deducted from your donation otherwise. The $75, $100, $250 options have the fees included. If the donate button doesn't take you to PayPal, press Ctrl and your left mouse button while you hover over the yellow Donate button.

To expedite processing, please use Blue "PP" PayPal link and select the item in the drop-down menu. You can put more than one item in cart at a time such as a donation to carp or dredging fund to check out by selecting the blue "membership checkout" once you select the first item in the drop-down menu on the PayPal site. Click on "pop out" and download the online application and email membership@lakelaniersc.org.
The form can't be competed by opening it online. You must download the form. The form is a fillable PDF. If paying online, a convenience fee has been added to cover merchant charges.
Plan ahead of your travel as same day access may not be possible until you have an activated gate access fob. You may also mail your application and payment to the address on the contact page/application. Allow up to two weeks for processing especially new applications. Make sure boat information is accurate and complete as incomplete information will delay processing.
Please note Key Fobs for Gate Access renew yearly June 30 the same cycle as LLCA membership $100 dues beginning May 15, 2026 for 26-27 dues. One Key Fob is included in membership. Replacements/lost fobs are $25.
A member of the Safety/Membership Committee will arrange a time to meet you with your fob after application approval.

Permits

BUILDING PERMITS ON LAKE LANIER

Any construction or modification of boathouses, boat garages and docks require a permit from the Town of Tryon and from Greenville County. Please see The Town of Tryon's Regulations regarding Lake Lanier. and additional restrictions imposed in the "Narrows".
